Present our Holiday Champagne and Sparkling Wine tasting December 5, 2007 de Tarczal, Brut Spumante, Champagne Method, NV A beautiful light straw yellow color with green reflections, this Italian sparkler has a delicate, fragrant, fresh and fruity aroma. The flavor
is harmonious, with a perfectly balanced acidity level. It is an extremely versatile sparkling wine that is ideal for serving at important occasions as an aperitif or to accompany the entire meal. It goes well with
simple snacks and forms a good basis to cocktails and long drinks as it’s alcohol level is relatively low at 11.5%. Louis de Sacy, Brut Tradition, Rated 88 points on the Wine Spectators best wines of the year, this Champagne lets you easily discover its subtle aromas coming from the prolonged aging. The grapes are picked from carefully selected old vines, Chardonnay 60%, Pinot Noir 30%, and Pinot Meunier 10%. A well structured Brut, without aggressiveness and a long finish showing full expression of this complex terroir. A very fine Champagne that can be aged for years.
Created using 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir, this oak fermented Champagne has a restrained, even discreet nose of green apple, freshly baked brioche and citrus dissolves into intense, pure and driving flavors that possess a wonderfully broad panoply of flavors that are gorgeously persistent. This is one of those rare Champagnes that can really have powerful flavor authority yet deliver it by dancing across the palate. A stunningly good effort that for all the impact remains understated and focused
Laherte Freres Champagne Rose Made from a dominant blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier and complete with only a touch of Chardonnay. This Champagne Brut Rosé presents a pretty rose color with a nose elegant and fruity. The mouth is full and fruity (cherries, citrus fruits, raspberry, cherry and blackcurrant). The final is taste is powerful, sublime and persistent. This Champagne could be served for an aperitif, with a white meat, with desserts of red fruits or even with ice-cream! Please note that for the harvest 2004, our house create a new Rosé : a Rosé de saignée. The principle is to make a maceration during 12 to 24 hours to obtain a sublime rose color and then make the vinification. This method, extremely rare in Champagne, brings very fine flavors.
