2003 Signature Pinot Gris Winemaker’s Notes: The 2003 Pinot Gris is pale straw in color with billians lumicosity. It’s aromas are of lime, grapefruit and orange citrus, accented with nitmeg and honey. The flavors are explosive filled with melon, tropical fruit and honey, with a citrus zest finish. Rich and balanced, this wine has rounded texture & body, making it a perfect match with a variety of cuisines. The wine is 100% Oregon Pinot Gris, with 55% of the grapes coming from the King Estate 100% organic vineyards and 45% coming from other Willamette Valley vineyards.
2001 100% Organic Chardonnay Winemakers Notes: Our Chardonnay is grown from 100% organic Chardonnay grapes grown on our Estate’s certified organic vineyards. The color for our 2001 Chardonnay is a medium golden straw color. The aromas are filled with gooseberry, lime, honey/caramel, organge zest, nutmeg and vanilla. The flavors of this beautiful wine are filled with citrus, stone fruits, honey, vanilla, nutmeg and a balanced oak spice. The initial feel of this wine on the mouth is very creamy and finishes with a zesty exit.
2002 Signature Pinot Noir Winemakers Notes: The color of this signature 100% Pinot Noir is a bright garnet with ruby tint clarity and brilliance. The aromas are filled with black-cherry, cassis, dried rose petals, strawberry, raspberry with cinnamon and cedar spice. The initial mouth feel is round, rich and silky. Blueberry notes co-mingle with raspberry-strawberry fruit and hints of dark plum. A hint of cocoa-vanilla is complemented with cedar and oak spice. The mid-pallet offers round tannins that fade away into a long finish.
*This is one of our favorite wines. Oregon’s land and climate are perfect for growing Pinot Noir, especially within the Willamette Valley, and Pinot from King Estate is a fantastic example of superb winemaking from a phenomenal batch of grapes.
2004 Signature Pinot Gris – Vin Glace Winemakers Notes: This 100% organic ice wine is made from Pinot Gris grapes on the King Estate property. It’s color is a luscious golden straw and it filled with aromas of honeysuckle, apricot, pineapple, nutmeg/all spice and orange blossom. The flavors are of rich peach/apricot nectar, honey, tropical fruits, black tea and pear. Vin Glace is made from ripe frozen Pinot Gris grapes. Pressing frozen grapes produces a sweet juice, while leaving the frozen water crystals and grape skins behind. The resulting juice is very concentrated in aromas and flavors, and demonstrates intense varietal character. Fermentation occurs slowly and is stopped before the wine is fermented dry. |
